Vorrei, dal profondo del cuore, ringraziare lei e il Rev.
Phil Knowles insieme alla comunità di St. Ignatius, per il grande privilegio
che mi avete offerto di partecipare alla Celebrazione Eucaristica alla Chiesa Metodista,
svoltasi il 29 marzo 2008.
La liturgia che lei ha presieduto è stata una autentica esperienza spirituale, prova che lo Spirito sta portando la sua Chiesa, seppur lentamente, all’apertura dei cuori e delle menti verso un “Corpo di Cristo”, amorevole ed accogliente.
La dignità e la solennità con la quale lei ha presieduto hanno reso la celebrazione intensa e di grande qualità. Spesso una gran parte di noi preti dimentichiamo o minimizziamo questo aspetto, laddove tutti possono essere accolti con amore e con il tocco tutto particolare che solo la parte “femminile” della famiglia conosce e può condividere.

Se lei è d’accordo, vorrei pubblicare ulteriori dettagli e alcune fotografie. I lettori del sito hanno manifestato un vivo interesse nell’evento.
Inoltre i nostri lettori italiani avrebbero piacere di conoscere il suo percorso vocazionale così come avere informazioni aggiuntive sul movimento. Il nostro sito web, sebbene di recente costituzione, conta oggi circa 100 visite al giorno. Probabilmente alcune informazioni sono già disponibili su http://www.romancatholicwomenpriests.org, me ne occuperò personalmente.
Una domanda che ci interessa: Qual è il nome del vescovo che l’ha ordinata e qual è la sua Successione Apostolica (posto che non siano informazioni riservate); ci sarebbe di grande aiuto se ci fornisse questo tipo di informazioni.
Raccoglierò eventualmente ulteriore documentazione sul movimento e scriverò una presentazione a "slide" che spero di mostrare al Congresso della Federazione Internazionale dei Preti Sposati che si terrà il prossimo 6-9 novembre a Vienna.

Ho ricevuto ed inoltrato l’email di Olivia Doko che lei aveva inviato riguardo alla Celebrazione di domani a Seattle. Mi scuso per aver risposto in ritardo. Sto trasferendo il mio ufficio dalla vecchia sede ad una nuova e sto preparando le liturgie di Seattle e di Olympia. Ho trascurato quindi un po’ la mia posta elettronica.
Lei è il benvenuto alla liturgia di domani. E’ probabile che Phil Knowles concelebrerà. Il motto del prossimo week-end è FLESSIBILITA’. Quindi la risposta è: si, porti pure la sua stola e cerchi di arrivare per le 15:15 così possiamo accordarci prima dell’inizio della liturgia. Spero di incontrarla.

I would like to thank you, Rev. Phil Knowles and the St. Ignatius community, from the bottom of my heart and soul for the enormous privilege to participate in Liturgy of the Eucharist at the Methodist Church, last Saturday March 29, 2008.
The liturgy that you presided was truly a great spiritual experience and a real proof that the Spirit is leading his Church to, slowly but surely, open everybody's hearts and mind for a more inclusive and loving sense of the "Body of Christ".
The dignity and solemnity with which you conducted the celebration was of the highest and most outstanding quality. Many of us, priests, have sometimes forgotten or minimized this aspect of the sacred liturgy, thus the faithful are welcoming a more respectful and prayerful attitude with a loving and special touch that only the "female" side of the human family know and can share.
I have briefly reported the event on our Italian web site http://www.chiesaincammino.org With your permission I would like to follow-up with a more detailed and documented report including some photos. The readers of the site have express great interest in this. A brief report on your vocational journey and some more info of this movement would also be welcome by our “Italian” readers. Our web site, though very young, has already about 100 visitors per day. A lot of information will probably already be available from the http://www.romancatholicwomenpriests.org, I will definitely review that in detail.
One question was: What is the name of the Bishop that ordained you and what is his/her Apostolic Succession (provided that it could be publicized); if you could give me some idea about this information, it would be very helpful.
I will eventually gather more documentation about the movement and compile a professional slide show to be presented at the Congress of the International Federation of Married Catholic Priest to be help in Vienna this coming Nov. 6-9.
